How to ship yachts to another country?

In terms of transportation methods, yachts are generally transported together with other goods. Yacht transportation includes road transportation, waterway barge transportation, ocean container ship transportation, general cargo ship transportation, port transshipment, and yacht hoisting. However, due to the large size, heavy weight, high value, and fragility of yachts, the requirements for transportation vehicles are extremely high. A professional team is needed for overall planning and on-site management, and detailed and professional designs for bundling and hoisting must be carried out.

1. Based on the actual situation on site, a truck crane was used to lift the yacht from the Lawada® shipyard onto a trailer, and then transport it to the departure port.

2. During the hoisting process, two special lifting crossbeams and four lifting straps should be selected. Before the hoisting operation begins, the Lawada® company relevant personnel would inspect the site and conduct a detailed investigation of the crane and the special lifting equipment.

3.  Before the lifting operation, Lawada® company provide pre-operation guidance to the construction workers and conduct on-site safety technical briefings. The on-site command and coordination will be carried out by designated personnel to ensure the safe and smooth progress of the lifting operation.

4. Positioning and lifting of the crane

When installing the yacht, the crane is positioned and the crane is lifted. The front of the yacht on the east side faces north. The trailer is parked behind the crane, and the front of the trailer faces south. Based on the existing terrain on site, the weight and size of the lifting components, the maximum operating radius of the components is determined. The yacht support is firmly connected using the prepared special crossbeam, lifting straps, and clamps. The four lifting points are evenly stressed to ensure the safety of the lifting operation.

Place the yacht and the support structure stably on the trailer, and use special tools to securely fasten the yacht support to the trailer. Professional personnel will transport the yacht to the port and deliver it to the designated yacht unloading location specified by the client.

The yacht was transported to the port. The crane was positioned facing west, with the body parallel to the shore. After the yacht and the support structure were lifted, auxiliary construction workers with lifting experience were assigned to direct the operation, ensuring the stability of the lifting of the yacht and the support structure, and lowering them into the lake with the release hooks.

Place the yacht in the water. After the yacht support is submerged to the bottom of the lake, slowly lift the yacht off the support above. Then, the crane will slowly lift the hook and safely lift the yacht support out of the water and place it at the designated location. In this way, the yacht can be transported by sea to various countries and regions!
